You'll be working alongside dedicated colleagues on the testing and commissioning of rolling stock vehicles and railway signaling systems. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, executing, and analyzing test results, helping to ensure project success and operational efficiency.What You'll Do:- Prepare and execute tests for rolling stock vehicles, ensuring all necessary equipment is in place for the timely execution of the test program.- Conduct tests on systems such as propulsion, brakes, air and pneumatics (including sanding and levelling), doors (internal & external), PIS displays and communication systems, Train Control Management Systems (TCMS), and CCTV/DOO.- Analyze and manage test data, and prepare detailed static and dynamic test reports.- In the event of non-conformities during the commissioning phase, report issues, including defect descriptions and test contexts, and ensure they are logged using the appropriate tools.- Ensure follow-up on detected issues and provide comprehensive commissioning reports.- Verify that all test tools are properly calibrated and in working order.- Collaborate with the Verification & Validation (V&V) team and perform lab tests as required.- Use diagnostics software and read electrical and mechanical schematics to troubleshoot issues.- Support the railway signaling system projects, identifying defects and providing troubleshooting assistance.Qualifications- Engineering degree (preferably in electronics, embedded systems, or a related field) or equivalent experience.- Demonstrable knowledge of rolling stock vehicles and railway signaling systems.- Proficiency in using diagnostics software and software loading tools.- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.- Prior experience working within the rail industry in a similar role is essential.- Relevant NVQ qualification or equivalent.Additional Information- Strong mechanical or electrical background, particularly within the rolling stock industry.- Flexibility to work on short or long-term assignments in various locations and countries.- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.- A strong communicator (both written and verbal) who can confidently engage with various stakeholders.- A team player with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of thinking analytically to resolve complex system issues.- Quick thinker, decisive, and able to show strong initiative and self-determination.- Driving license is required.
