Montessori Care is a registered NDIS service provider of in-home aged care and disability supports.We are currently seeking enthusiastic Art Therapists to join our diverse team in Greater Sydney NSW.As an Art Therapist, your primary responsibility is to provide art therapy services to neurodiverse children and adults and people with disabilities. These services will be tailored to the needs of individual clients and groups, incorporating art forms like painting, drawing, clay work, and collage.Key ResponsibilitiesConducting initial assessments to understand clients' needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.Facilitating art therapy sessions using a variety of art materials and techniques, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, and collage.Modifying art therapy interventions to accommodate the unique needs and abilities of individuals with disabilities.Keeping thorough and accurate records of client progress, session notes, and treatment plans.Collaborating with other professionals, such as occupational therapists, speech therapists, and support workers, to provide holistic care.Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay informed about advances in art therapy research, techniques, and best practices.Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in art (Desirable)Experience working in the NDIS sectorExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFirst Aid/CPRChecksNDISWWCCPolice check (desirable)Working Conditions:Work may be conducted in various settings, including client homes and community institutions.Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs, including occasional evening or weekend appointments.Travel may be required to visit multiple client locations within a designated geographic area.Location: Summer Hill, New South Wales, AustraliaPosition Type: Casual/VacationSector: Community Services & Development, Aged & Disability Support
