This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Transmission & Electrification team. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.As a Senior Project Engineer, help our diverse range of clients tackle the energy transition with a Future Ready approach. Utilise your experience in Project Delivery & Management to act as a delivery leader within and external to the business. This individual will help our team manage and deliver a broad range of projects currently occurring across Australia.This role can be based anywhere in Australia with a preference for NSW, VIC, QLD, and SA.Our Energy team helps clients maintain safe and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to support sustainable city transitions.What you'll do:Leads, manages and coordinates electrical design and/or power systems projects.Establishes project scope, time, and cost management systems.Seek information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needs and encourage client focus on colleagues including coordination with other disciplines.Provide technical leadership on multiple projects of varying complexity and size.Provide technical review of work performed by the team.Provide technical input to a diverse range of projects in line with WSP quality system and client requirements.Responsibility for client satisfaction.Is a leader in Safety in Design.Establishes project quality and risk management systems.Establishes project communications and integration systems.Understanding of contracts and commercials as related to project delivery.Mentor junior engineers in technical, project delivery and client relationships.Comply with all roles specific SHEQ obligations.About YouBachelor's degree (Engineering) or EquivalentChartered status CPENG & RPEQ (desirable)Extensive relevant experienceDemonstrated competence in leading, managing and coordinating electrical design and/or power systems projects.Demonstrated understanding of transmission, distribution, high voltage infrastructure and/or power systems projects.Demonstrated competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.Demonstrated competence in providing key technical input.Demonstrated competent in managing risk on projects with high level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes.Demonstrated multiple instances of delivering best client outcomes/options.Balances innovation, quality, and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost.Flexible to meet project outcomes.Manages self and others under pressure.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
