As a registered and authorised supplier to the NHS and many private healthcare providers, Direct Medics are working with Psychology professionals throughout the UK & Ireland to help them find new and exciting opportunities.Job Description :Our client is a specialist provider of inpatient and residential services, making a real and lasting difference to the lives of adults, young people and children with complex needs.The successful applicant will be an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist keen to apply their existing skills to working with young people and their families in an eating disorders and related comorbidity service. They will be interested in the application of evidence-based approaches and keen to engage in evidence-generating practice throughout the specialised service and across the network. The applicant will value working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will understand the importance of working alongside MDTs to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.:Requirements:• Current HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist• Post-graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS• Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, trauma, depression, self-harm), and the impact these on both children and adolescents, and their families.• We will also consider applicants from newly qualified psychologists, or from those who are about to qualify (please clearly state in the application when you will receive HCPC registration).• Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position.
