Job details

OSL is a leading supplier of state-of-the-art radiotherapy to the oncology healthcare sector, selling directly to both NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK & Ireland. We are currently seeking a self-motivated support engineer to assist with the provision of comprehensive service support for our portfolio of products installed in the UK & Ireland and for our distribution network. The applicant can be based anywhere in the UK. The role is largely field-based and extensive travel throughout the UK & Ireland together with some overseas travel will be required. A full, clean British driving license is essential. The role involves the day-to-day service support of a range of radiotherapy and imaging software and electro-mechanical equipment including the installation, upgrade, preventative and reactive maintenance and repair of systems both remotely and at customer sites. The service team often provides introductory training for customers, which may include Radiotherapy physicists, radiographers and medical doctors. The successful person will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a tight-knit multidisciplinary team. Suitable candidates will have an engineering background together with working experience in computer and network systems. Experience of working in a hospital or similar environment is desirable, although, as extensive product training will be provided, exceptionally technical, non-medical background candidates are welcomed. This is a key customer-facing role requiring excellent organisational, communication and customer relation skills. We are happy to answer any questions about the role. Email recruitment@osl.uk.com or give us a call.
