QAQC Engineer

We are the Industry Division of IJM Group, one of Malaysia’s leading conglomerates. We are now looking for an experienced QAQC Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities

1. Establish and implement quality control procedures for various stages of construction, including earthworks, concrete pouring, steelworks, masonry, and finishing works.
2. Perform regular inspections of construction activities to ensure that they meet the quality requirements, including checking materials, installation methods, and workmanship.
3. Responsible for the testing of materials such as arranging concrete slump tests, compression tests, and steel tensile strength tests.
4. Oversee critical construction activities such as foundation works, steel reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, structural erection, and ensure they are done as per standards.
5. Prepare NCRs for any non-compliance or substandard work and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
6. Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing and ensure test results are within the acceptable range.
7. Ensure that subcontractors adhere to the project's quality standards, including checking their workmanship and ensuring they follow the proper procedures.
8. Ensure all construction processes meet local and international construction standards and building codes.
9. Conduct final inspections before handing over to the client to ensure that the construction meets all specified quality requirements.

Requirements

1. Preferably 5 years of experience & above in QA/QC within the construction field.
2. Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
3. Candidates who have HSE Awareness, are detail-oriented, and are good problem solvers will be an added advantage.
4. The office is located at Bestari Jaya, Rawang, & the site is located at Puncak Alam.
