Florist/Salesman

FLORIST JOB DESCRIPTION Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Handle customer’s requests and orders and maintain plants and shop.
2. Assist in events such as weddings, parties & on-site decorations.
3. Provide excellent customer service, understanding their floral design needs and assist them with the design of custom arrangements.
4. Showroom display and responsible for window design and product replacements.
5. Make fresh and artificial flower arrangements and artificial plants as per the customer’s requirements.
6. Responsible for job costing and quotation preparation, supplies and materials procurement, daily statement preparation, and inventory management.
7. Plan corporate events and private functions as well as public relations, and implement a year-round plan to promote company services, drive sales/income, and improve corporate image; prepare recommendations for new products and services.
8. Identify and contact new customers, meet cost targets, develop strategies for sales, and prepare annual and monthly sales plans.
9. Conceptualize floral designs customized according to client specifications – be it individual or corporate and exhibition-scale requirements, as well as A-Z special events, exhibitions, and conference projects.
10. Teamwork, attention to detail and quality, handling systems in the flower shop, create flower orders for daily needs.
11. Confer with clients regarding price and type of arrangements desired and the date, time, and place of delivery; wrap and price completed arrangements.
12. Responsible for watering plants, and cutting, conditioning, and cleaning flowers and foliage for storage; select flora and foliage for arrangements, working with numerous combinations to synthesize and develop new creations.
13. Assist in the production of artificial trees and plant arrangements and after-sales service.
14. Help in loading and unloading trees and plants in the vehicle and delivery at the site.
15. Assist in cleaning and maintenance of trees and plants in the factory and at site in maintenance projects.
16. Arrange flower and plant displays in commercial buildings, homes, offices, etc., both in Bahrain and in the territory. This job will involve preparation of arrangements in high elevation balconies involving scaffolding.
17. Make outdoor and indoor sales calls to potential clients in Bahrain and in the territory to secure business for the company.
18. Maintain cleanliness in the working and delivery site area as required.
19. Ensure that materials do not pass outside the premises without proper documents and manager approval.
20. Carry out activities assigned by the manager within the activity and nature of your job.
21. Exhibit good behavior and observe the rules and regulations set by the company, maintaining proper appearance at all times; fulfill duties with honesty and integrity and keep the company's secrets and activities confidential.
22. Build decorative trees, as well as natural and artificial green walls and landscaping.
