Based out of our one of distribution centres across the country, Graduate Area Managers work alongside employees in our distribution centres in order to support their growth & development, identify and remove barriers the teams face, and display ownership of a fast-paced team environment. After your initial training and mentorship, you will have a team of associates reporting to you. You’ll support the training and integration of your team. Key job responsibilities

You’ll be an inspiring leader at one of our Fulfillment Centres, where you'll work to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively. As a Graduate Area Manager you will:
  1. Review and understand the transportation process from Fulfilment Centres to delivery stations.
  2. Measure and ensure enough bandwidth in the sortation team to ensure peak time delivery management.
  3. Continuously improve the throughput and attain a sustained level of delivery performance improvement.
  4. Review and assist on analysis of the data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
  5. Research and review formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.
  6. Safeguard your team’s safety while at work.
  7. Uphold Amazon’s high standards of quality.
  8. Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Please note: This role is based on day shift or night shift, with shift hours from 7am - 5pm, or 7pm - 5am. You will be working shifts from Sunday to Wednesday, or Wednesday to Saturday.

About the team

As a Graduate Area Manager, you are part of something bigger and amazing. You will be based in the heart of the action at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff and learning everything you need to know about how Amazon Operations works. You will be provided with a mentor who will support you and guide your work, along with a strong intern support network.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or post-graduate) in the last 24 months in any discipline or degree.
  2. Some work experience - whether through placement years, internships or university.
  3. People focused.
  4. Loves to analyse problems.
  5. Solution oriented.
  6. Able to work independently.
  7. Possess leadership qualities.
  8. Loves to have fun and make history!
Please note: To be eligible for this program you will have already graduated for your degree to commence this role ASAP.
