The Site Engineer (MEP) is responsible throughout the construction and commissioning of a new data center or data centre expansion project.This role requires strong interpersonal skills and technical expertise in the MEP field.Responsibilities:Lead the team that is installing, maintaining, and commissioning in a safe, secure, and cost-effective manner across the site.Supervise construction activities in all disciplines until hand-over.Supervise the testing of all systems on site.Prepare Project Progress Reports and time sheets and submit them to the project manager.Supervise the activities of the installation subcontractor.Monitor project plan in line with the scope.Understand drawings and specifications to ensure they reflect the desired requirements in accordance with the design.Manage vendor and site coordination for material delivery and services.Ensure all suppliers/vendors are following safety best practices.Establish a positive working relationship with the team on site.Provide regular reports on project progress, issues, and risks.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Must have experience in the MEP domain.Proficient in Microsoft Office with good written and verbal communication skills.Able to work in a team environment.Coordinate site activities with the end user representatives.Manage the transportation of the installation tools and team from/to site.Ensure the installation works meet the company's HSE standards.Prepare descriptive technical reports on any occurring problems.Follow up on work progress with site teams, up to handing over to the end user.Prepare site survey reports and ensure they are submitted to the services manager/PM.Prepare Daily Allocation Schedule and supervise the works.Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly work reports.Develop estimated workload for the site team.Develop a maintenance plan for site tools and machines.Assign appropriate site teams for the activities.Ensure the proper implementation of the company's Safety and quality procedures by the site team.Skills:10+ years' experience in installation and T&C of MEP work specifically in Data centers.Solid knowledge in Data centers.Excellent communication skills.Flexibility to work under pressure and in different environments.Problem-solving skills.Leadership skills.Very good coordination and management skills.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.Develop site team technical competencies.Provide technical support for the site team.
