The Utility Foreman is responsible for safely, timely, and cost-effectively leading the performance of all shipyard-related water supply, wastewater, and gas systems operation and maintenance day-to-day activities as per the asset management plans to achieve asset management objectives and therefore achieve IMI strategic objectives.To preserve the function of our physical assets, pumps, tanks, pipeline, valves, and systems throughout their life period to the satisfaction of international standards through continued process improvement, selecting and applying the most cost-effective techniques along with proactively preventing and managing failures and their consequences.Key Accountabilities & Working RelationshipsKey Accountabilities:Adhere to regulations, quality, security, and safety standards.Carry out operation, diagnosis of faults, maintenance, and repairs to all types of pumps, pipes, valves, and related accessories for water, drainage, and stormwater systems in a safe, timely, and professional manner and return assets to operational service.Perform preventive, predictive, condition-based, and breakdown equipment and systems maintenance (but not limited) of shipyard utility systems in a professional manner.Lead maintenance and operation teams to perform asset management activities safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance in the assigned areas/zones of work.Provide cost-effective techniques and solutions to attain desired equipment reliability and availability.Understand, observe, and support the implementation of Asset Management Policy, SAMP, and Asset Management System.Data logging, updating of work completions, and work orders (preventive/breakdown checklists) in ERP system as guided by the maintenance supervisor.Ensure that operation and maintenance contractors are utilized efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company procedures.Understand and operate water supply networks, stormwater, and drainage networks.Repair and maintain all types of pumps and understand/control the sequence of works.Troubleshoot plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, manholes & pipes blockages, and faulty fixtures.Inspect and test the completed works to ensure the safe operation of equipment to the user department before handover.Inspect, test, and repair water tanks as per standards of API.Communicate with maintenance supervisors and zone superintendents about the status-quo of operation and maintenance, and opportunities for improvements.Identify spares requirements and monitor their utilization.Be a part of the project team to lead critical activities like installations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, transition/handover, and repositioning of shipyard utility assets.Execute recommended activities i.e., retro-fixing, major overhauls in improving asset values as allocated by management.Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service.Ensure all tools, accessories, and test equipment are kept clean and serviceable, and advise the line supervisor of spares requirements.Follow up and execute FRACAS corrective actions assigned to the zone assets.Contribute to continuous improvement activities.Undertake continuous training and development.Train and impart demonstrable asset maintenance knowledge to co-workers and apprentices and enhance their skills (Train the Trainer) in achieving Saudi Vision 2030.Promote a sense of positive attitude, pride, and work culture in driving teams to attain Asset Management objectives.Manage staff, including allocation of duties, competency training, performance evaluation, and leave roster and absence.Working Relationships:Internal Interactions:Maintenance SupervisorsAsset PlannersMaintenance TechniciansAM contractorsExternal Interactions:Facilities Superintendent / SupervisorsOperatorsWho We Are Looking ForEducation:Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience:At least 12-15 years of relevant experience.Professional Qualifications:Understanding of Health and Safety practicesIFS practical experience is a plus.Excellent Computer Skills in MS OfficeCompetencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Knowledge of utility assets' operation, maintenance, repair, and upgradesDemonstrated skills and applicable knowledge of ISO & OSHAS systems.Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical informationPlanning and prioritizing activitiesAdvanced Problem-solving skills.Excellent team working skills.Ability to train self and cascade knowledge to others.Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityPreferred Saudi nationalLanguages:About Application ProcessIf you meet the criteria and you are enthusiastic about the role, we would welcome your application.
