We offer a wide range of consultant assignments, featuring many of the most exciting projects in Norway and internationally.DetailsDuration: 11.11.2024 - 29.08.2025Location: Dubai - Weekend work and nightshifts to be expectedAssignment DescriptionFollow up contractor to ensure welding is executed in accordance with the requirements throughout the project cycle:Ensure that the delivery of various items is manufactured according to the relevant standards and specifications.Be an HSSE ambassador. Ensures that HSSE procedures are adhered to, and proactively strive for good HSSE and quality performance throughout the work.Participates in tool-box meetings and Safety Meetings.Where required, participate in Readiness Reviews prior to starting structural construction and welding activities.Proactively assist in resolving structural construction and welding quality related technical issues that may arise during the execution of work scopes onsite.Liaises with the Structural Field Engineer/s and ensures that the modules are constructed as per project design and Company Requirements.Where required, reviews and comments on structural ITP, attends and verifies, and signs off applicable established inspection points on behalf of the Company.Monitors and attends Mechanical Completion activities for the structural discipline.Seeks for continuous improvement of work processes and products within own responsibility area.Liaises with relevant disciplines with regards to interdisciplinary interfaces and releases, NDE, dimensional control, mechanical, piping, coatings, etc.Daily and weekly reporting to QC Lead on ongoing activities.Contribute to Lessons Learned, experience transfer and Close Out Report.Progressively reviews relevant documents, reports and records (specifications, procedures, drawings, material, welding, NDE, dimensional, etc.) and formally report on noted discrepancies or deviations.Where required, carry out and report on assigned surveillance audits on identified structural or welding elements.Follows up and verifies closure of issues and any continuous improvement initiatives in the yard.QualificationsTheoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of Structural Design and Fabrication.Knowledge of applicable project documents, industry procedures and guidelines, recommended practices, standards, and specifications.Proficient in MS Office; experience in using PIMS is an advantage.Regional experience is an advantage.Fluent written and verbal communication in English.Minimum certification to CSWIP 3.1.Relevant engineering degree, proficiency, and certification to NDE methods.Relevant experience from similar positions in other oil & gas projects may make up for formal education.Minimum 10 years relevant experience from oil and gas projects.
