Our team is dedicated to providing clients with effective business and technical solutions through exceptional levels of service, innovation, and flexibility.TWD is currently seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support our office in Burlington and Sarnia, ON!Job ResponsibilitiesCreation/modification of client drawings including instrument loop drawings, wiring diagrams, conduit & cable schedules, panel layouts and bill of materials, control panel schematics, installation details, piping and instrumentation drawings, network drawings.Preparation of equipment specifications including online/offline instrument specifications, Motor/VFD specifications, and control panel specifications.Preparation of construction Scopes of Work, purchasing documents, bid reviews and selection, and providing technical support to construction contractors.Creating and maintaining project documentation including cost estimates, schedules, instrument indices, drawing and procurement Control Documents.Preparation of checkout documentation and procedures; understanding the impacts of Control Systems on client processes.Preparation of final project documentation including As-built drawings, vendor documentation, and control system configuration documentation.Be responsible and accountable for own safety and the safety of others involved in, or affected by, his/her activities.Preparing and/or supervising engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required.Providing mentorship to junior engineers and designers.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related discipline).Registered Professional Engineer License with Ontario is required.A minimum of 5-7 years' related working and site experience is required.Broad technical and HSE skills with a solid working knowledge of Construction and Commissioning operations.Must have experience coordinating electrical and instrumentation procurement vendor inspections and QA/QC reporting activities.Experience managing electrical equipment for hazardous area engineering, construction and pre-commissioning is a must.Significant experience in sizing, selection and specification of field instrumentation.Knowledge of all phases of a multi-discipline construction operation relating to field activities.Extensive experience with hardware requirements of PLC, SCADA and DCS control systems for system design and implementation.Solid business development skills to interact effectively with customers to collect site information for existing jobs and conduct scope definition visits, evaluations and discussions to secure new work.Strong computer skills.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for everyone.
