LABORATORY SYSTEMS PROJECT MANAGER required by CareerWise Recruitment for our multinational Biotechnology client in Limerick. Initial 12 month contract on offer and this role would ideally require 5 days on site, however Hybrid arrangement is available with minimum 3 days on site. The LABORATORY SYSTEMS PROJECT MANAGER will ead laboratory systems projects, this role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives within the laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will combine project management skills with an understanding of agile methodologies, particularly in a laboratory setting, to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals. THE ROLE: Agile Leadership: Serve as the Release Train Engineer (RTE)/Program Manager for the laboratory systems project, facilitating agile release processes. Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets for laboratory information systems and related projects. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with laboratory staff, IT teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment on project deliverables. Resource Coordination: Manage internal and external resources, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and effective utilization of team capabilities. Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, developing strategies to mitigate them and ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders. Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress using Agile metrics, prepare status reports, and facilitate transparency across teams regarding project status and changes. Compliance Oversight: Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, including GLP, GxP, while maintaining quality and safety standards. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate project outcomes and team performance to identify areas for improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP, RTE, or equivalent certification preferred. 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on laboratory systems or healthcare IT. Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer or similar role, with strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe). Strong understanding of laboratory operations, workflows, data management, and regulatory compliance. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
