A recent internal promotion has created an opportunity to join them at a Senior Commercial Finance Manager level. The Role Reporting into an accomplished Director of Finance and working closely with the Divisional CEO and Group Chief Financial Officer, this role is tasked with providing business partnership, as well as handling Budgeting, Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis for Australia, offering insights for the next 3 to 5 years. It will offer guidance and enhance the operations and commercial teams' efforts in propelling the business ahead, all while sustaining a robust connection with the central finance department. This role offers independence and significant control. You will oversee your personal improvement initiatives, innovate new procedures, and guide and nurture the team members around you. Leading a team of 5, with further potential for expansion in the near future. This position holds great importance, offering potential for career progression and unmatched exposure. Duties include, but are not limited to: - Business partnering with key stakeholders to drive financial strategy and growth - Leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the division - Providing insightful analysis and reporting to support decision-making and performance tracking - Identifying and implementing cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives - Managing and mentoring the commercial finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement - Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies - Collaborating with other departments to support financial aspects of business projects and initiatives - Driving the development and refinement of financial models and tools for better forecasting accuracy - Negotiating contracts and agreements from a financial perspective - Analysing market trends and competitors to identify business opportunities and risks - Supporting the executive team with in-depth financial analysis and strategic advice - Streamlining financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy - Participating in strategic planning sessions to align financial goals with business objectives Your Profile The perfect candidate will have a track record of high achievement and possess a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. Standing out for this role requires experience in a dynamic, service-oriented business, proficiency in advanced Excel, and modelling experience, but more importantly evidence of being a strategic business partner over the prior 5-10 years. Leadership experience of an experienced team is critical, the perfect candidate will be on the upper end of experience for this role, close to their own promotion to an even larger role in the near-mid-term.
