We are searching for an energetic and passionate Health and Safety coordinator to assist the Health and Safety team with the coordination, administration and delivery of health and safety initiatives, training and record keeping as required to ensure consistency across the Group. Someone to create and drive a safety culture of shared beliefs, practices and attitudes to prioritise and promote health and safety throughout your area of responsibility (within scope). How will you spend your days? Tasks including but not limited to assisting with:

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on regulatory or industry requirements and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures (within scope Recruitment
  • Ensure equipment and PPE is used in compliance with safe operating practices.
  • Under guidance of a Health and Safety Advisor or Manager assist to carry out accident/incident investigations and draft reports within required timeframes (within scope) and assist with data analysis and monthly report submissions.
  • Assist with the maintenance of health and safety training records for employees, ensuring BambooHR (HR Information System) and Lucidity are kept up to date.
  • Assist with the coordination of, and where required create and or deliver health and safety training and education programmes.
  • Contribute positively to the ongoing maintenance and development of a positive safety culture.
  • Commit to and focus on health and safety continuous improvement for the Group.
  • Assist with the preparation of SSSP, JSA’s and TA (within scope), and contribute to construction methodology planning at tender/pre-let stage with operations leaders across the Group.

  • 1 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within the construction or transferable industry.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels.
  • Empathetic in your approach, with attentive listening skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Good time management, ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Resilient – able to handle difficult situations calmly.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and guidance, and part of a team.
  • Punctual, reliable, hardworking, with a positive attitude.
  • Computer literate: MS Office suite - Word, Excel, Access and Outlook to at least an intermediate level.
  • Comfortable with technology, able to pick up and use systems with ease.
  • Act with honesty and integrity always.
  • Current, clean drivers licence.
