Relocate to the UK - Consultant Doctor (Upper Gastro-Intestinal Surgery)

Sanctuary International, a dedicated and award-winning recruitment agency with a TrustPilot score of 4.9/5 and nearly 1000+ reviews, is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Consultant Doctor - Upper Gastro-Intestinal Surgery to work in Carlisle, UK, on a full-time basis. The salary for this permanent Consultant job is £105,504 - £139,882 per annum plus £8,000 relocation package. Main duties:
- Deliver both elective and emergency General Surgery and Upper GI services as part of a team of consultants.
- Participate in a four-tier 24/7 on-call rota at Carlisle, including: 1 in 6 weekdays as first on-call, 1 in 6 second on-call, 1 in 12 weekday nights, and 1 in 12 weekends.
- Manage general surgical emergencies, with 24-hour emergency theatre access and a dedicated daily CEPOD list (8am-5pm).
- Provide expert care in the elective and emergency management of Upper GI and general surgery conditions.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and managerial colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Engage in leadership and management opportunities, with development and training provided by the Trust.
- Take part in annual job plan reviews, with potential opportunities for portfolio roles in academia, leadership, and medical education.
- Utilise administrative support and other resources provided by the Trust to fulfil your duties.
- Full Registration with the General Medical Council.
- Specialist Registration for Geriatrics and GIM. MRCP.
- Entry on the GMC specialist register via relevant CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), relevant CESR or European Community Rights.
- High level of clinical experience and competence in Geriatrics and GIM.
- Completed Higher Specialist Training (CCT) in Geriatrics or evidence of equivalent competency.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, managers, and other staff.
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients.
