**Job Summary and Purpose**:

Ensure all manoeuvring activities are carried out in a safe, efficient and effective way in order to meet clients' and yard's requirements and deliver projects on time

**Accountabilities**:

**Key Accountabilities**:

1. Ensure implementation of approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence. Pilot, dock and undock vessels in and out of the dry docks Harbour water in a safe and effective manner.

2. Monitor tugs, mooring launches, mooring gangs and all involved for marine manoeuvres.

3. Perform suitable bridge management duties in relation to statutory obligations during pilotage.

4. Provide guidance to ship's masters for the safe navigation, mooring and unmooring of vessels into the Harbour.

5. Carry out heavy lift operation with floating crane.

6. Monitor weather / sea conditions to attend to, as and when required, incidents or emergency situations within the Harbour.

7. Co-ordinate work progress with project managers, superintendent, other trades and with his own department.

8. Liaise with Invoicers / Estimators to ensure that commercial targets are met.

9. Prepare departmental reports on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

10. Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

11. Perform other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department

- Vessel Movement scheduling with Port authorities

**Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills**:

**Qualifications**:

- Master Marine Class - 1 (unlimited) with valid STCW certificates and must have seagoing experience in a watch keeping navigational role.

- Engineering Degree / Diploma,

**Experience**:

- Experience in ship repairing and ship construction yard as Dock Master.

- A minimum of 3 years experience as Dock Master

**Job Specific Competencies**:

- Piloting/tug skipper competency in handling large ships in harbour areas utilizing conventional and tractor tugs
