Their recent move into a new facility has prompted newgrowth as they have made exciting new changes to theirmanufacturing process. Regardless of the project size they detail each jobindividually to ensure that the railing is exactly what thecustomer envisioned for theirproject. Asthe DekSmart Business Development Representative for Western Canadaand the US you are responsible for establishing and maintainingprofitable relationships with customers on behalf of the companyfor actively prospecting new accounts and maximizing salespotential with existing customers. As a primary externalrepresentative of CenDek your ability to educate clients anddistributors of our product services and capabilities will be a keycomponent to your success. As you travel through your territorythat covers Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest; including BCAlberta Saskatchewan Manitoba (parts of Ontario) Washington IdahoOregon and Northern Utah you will identify dealer prospectscustomers and referral sources and develop and maintainrelationships to ensure attainment of company businessgoals. AdditionalResponsibilitiesInclude:
- Promotethe DekSmart line directly to existing dealers and contractors.Create and expand a network of new dealers andcontractors;
- Promotethe DekSmart line directly to developers architects and contractorsof multifamilyprojects;
- Interpretand read blueprints perform takeoffs for accurate projectestimations;
- Managemarketing data using sales management systems or tools (e.g.database computerized call calendars and time management systems)to maximize efficiency and analyze data/marketing activity on abiweeklybasis;
- Identifyprospects customers and referral sources and develop/maintainrelationships to ensure attainment of company business goals andactively manage shortandlong term leads from external referralsources to qualify prospects and advance them through the salesprocess;
- Effectivelypresent and discuss the products and services of the companysoliciting only those desired products/services provided by thecompany and its vendors to current and prospective customers in away that conveys an image of quality integrity and superiorunderstanding and delivery of customerneeds;
- Performmarket assessments competitor analysis and pricing strategies. Drawconclusions from market assessment data on the competitiveenvironment and the company s strengths weaknesses opportunitiesand targets and provide advice to the SalesManager;
- Developannual marketing strategy in conjunction with the Sales ManagerGeneral Manager and Inside Service Team and identify jointmarketing opportunities whereapplicable;
- Activelymanage short and longterm leads from external referral sources toqualify prospects and advance them through the salesprocess;
- Assistin the development and promotions of contractprocesses;
- Conductonsite presentations seminars and education PK s that promote theuse of ourproduct;
- Developa strategic sales plan that identifies and prioritizes prospectsandcustomers;
- Developa call schedule to cover territory adequately and provide reportsand data onresults;
- Investigateand work to resolve customer s problems. Communicate with the headoffice on any product issues that might arise in the field and workclosely with the service team to resolve thoseissues;
- Supportfield work training programs and closing assistance for clientrepresentatives andmanagement;
- Workdirectly with contractors / installers to create pull through thedealernetwork;
- Reportfrequently as required to the salesmanager;
- Participatein annual onsite product update training and service team meetingsand prepare detailed reports and maintain a detailed and accurateexpenseaccount;
- Drivegrowth in Western Canada and the US marketplace by creating newdealer accounts while maintaining existing agreements anddealers;
- Createa strong DekSmart presence at regional home shows and specialevents;
- Participatein supporting the needs of operations the sales manager and theservice team and assist in the development and promotions ofcontractprocesses;
- Otherduties and responsibilities asrequired.
- Mustpossess a valid motor vehicle operator s license and a currentpassport with the ability to obtain a US visa ifrequired;
- Abilityto work in a variable work environment both indoors and outdoorswith varying environmentalconditions;
- Experiencein the building industry is highlydesirable;
- Proficientwith CRM and ERP programs including Acumatica as well as MS OfficePrograms (OutlookExcel);
- Abilityto travel via motor vehicle and air for a significant amount ofyour work week (approximately 25% from September to May). From Mayto September (as the market dictates) your field time will bereduced and your work week will primarily be from your home office(remotely);
- Abilityto lift up to 50lbs;
- Thesuccessful candidate will be comfortable in the environment ofcustomerfacilities.
