We also run the low-cost coach service megabus.com in the UK and run Scotland's biggest coach operator, Scottish Citylink, as a joint venture.Please confirm that you are happy to continue on this basis.We are recruiting for a Contracts Specialist - someone who can negotiate and draft terms and conditions with ease, and manage projects related to franchise mobilisation/demobilisation awards.Working in the Logistics department, you'll be part of a busy team and the first point of contact for any contract-related queries. You will own project work related to the changing landscape of our bus networks, as the industry moves towards franchising models.It's definitely a 'sleeves up' role - there is lots to do and opportunity to help shape our strategy around franchising. If you have a passion for contracts and like variety, this could well be the role for you.You'll be working for our Head of Logistics, to support all our operating companies, building great relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally. It's a role which will give you plenty of exposure to leaders across our business and you'll need to build strong relationships with our external supply chain partners.And you'll not be on your own - we have many subject matter experts and there's always someone to bounce ideas off, pick brains, or sense check your approach.There's just a couple of 'must-haves' from our perspective…You'll need a strong background in contract negotiation with significant experience using complex terms and conditions and a multitude of contract types. We need someone with a keen eye for detail, who is commercially focused and who understands the importance of identifying and is confident in contractually mitigating risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key.We want to nurture work relationships and love to see the department in the office collaborating and thriving, but we recognise the advantages our employees gain from home working.
