Job Title: Marketing Design Specialist Location: Christchurch, New Zealand Employer: Zen Art Limited Employment Type: Permanent Hours Per Week: 30 hours guaranteed Hourly Rate: $27 to $30 per hour depending on skills About Zen Art Limited: Zen Art Limited is a Christchurch-based company that owns and operates a portfolio of popular hospitality brands specialising in Asian cuisines. We are seeking a talented Marketing Design Specialist to design engaging and high-impact visuals for our restaurant brands. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional with a passion for branding, food, and hospitality to work across multiple unique concepts. Job Description: In this role, you will be responsible for creating a wide variety of digital and print assets that capture the essence of each restaurant brand and enhance customer engagement. You will design promotional materials, manage social media visuals, and contribute to the overall branding of the restaurants. As part of Zen Art Limitedâs creative team, you will have the opportunity to shape the visual identity of our hospitality brands and support continued growth and success. Key Responsibilities: Branding & Creative Design: Design and update logos, menus, brochures, website and other promotional materials for restaurant brands. Ensure consistent branding across all platforms, creating visual identities that reflect each restaurantâs unique style and ambiance. Design creative assets for restaurant interiors, such as posters, signage, and artwork. Social Media Content Creation & Management: Develop eye-catching social media visuals, including posts, stories, banners, and ads, for each restaurant brand. Create dynamic social media content to promote restaurant events, specials, new menu items, and more. Manage content calendars for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), ensuring timely and consistent posts. Collaborate with the marketing team to design creative campaigns that drive engagement and boost brand visibility. Video & Motion Graphics: Create engaging video content for social media, such as behind-the-scenes footage, food preparation videos, or promotional clips for special offers and events. Develop short animations and motion graphics to enhance digital marketing campaigns. Marketing Support & Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant managers to understand promotional needs and create tailored visual content. Collaborate on the development of seasonal marketing materials, such as holiday specials, event flyers, and limited-time promotions. Monitor the performance of visual content on social media and adjust strategies to maximise engagement. Innovation & Trend Tracking: Stay up to date with design trends in the food and beverage industry to keep branding and promotional materials fresh and relevant. Research competitor designs and social media strategies to ensure Zen Art Limitedâs restaurant brands remain competitive and cutting-edge. Requirements: Bachelorâs degree or higher qualification in Graphic Design, Media & Communication, or a related discipline. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Figma, Canva and other design tools. Experience in designing for the Asian hospitality industry or food & beverage brands is a plus (but not mandatory). Proficiency in creating engaging social media content and managing posts through scheduling tools. Proficiency in branding, social media creatives, and promotional materials for restaurants or similar businesses. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
