The company has over 1000 staff in total, with multiple locations in Auckland and Hamilton and around 450 remote based workers across New Zealand. Your overall mission is to analyse and determine the pricing strategies for personal lines insurance products to ensure profitability and competitiveness within the market to attract customers. You will come from an insurance background and will be entrusted to act as a cultural leader who can add to the operational excellence already achieved within the team. This is a senior role with a huge emphasis on developing the right person into the portfolio pricing manager in the long-term and is ideal for someone who is already a Lead or Senior analyst eager to have a clear path to the next level. You will help mentor the current members of the team by provide guidance on best practice pricing principles, technical and analytical leadership. Due to the complexities of the industry, we are only able to consider candidates from an insurance background, however this does not need to be specifically personal lines experience. About You:
- Proven insurance experience and delivering pricing initiatives.
- Ability to analyse data through either R , Python, SQL, SAS
- Good understanding of statistical and predictive modelling techniques.
- Mentorship experience
- Strong communication skills, mathematical mindset and attention to detail.
- Statistics/mathematics/computer science educational background.
