Procurement Manager Orion NZ Ltd location Canterbury. We are looking for Procurement Manager reporting directly to our GM Purpose & Performance. You will lead the overall function responsible for the strategic direction of procurement to deliver The Orion Group purpose and strategy. You will be a trusted advisor at all levels for supply chain, procurement and commercial activity. We need you to bring your full toolkit to the table, this role is so much more than procurement. Your leadership style, ability to design and lead strategy, natural engagement while building key relationships and expert knowledge in your field will see you successful in this role. The role ensure the Procurement function is aligned with the Orion Group purpose and strategy through design and strategy. Foster a collaborative, positive team culture and environment where your people can learn, develop, lead and achieve. Provide procurement expertise, advice and mentoring to support business objectives providing effective internal consultancy. Develop and implement procurement policies and standards to ensure consistency across strategic direction. Ensure an accurate and reliable Purchasing and Claims management function utilising existing technology. Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and systems. About you substantial experience in a similar procurement management role with a relevant tertiary qualification. Demonstrated depth of experience providing people leadership, mentoring fostering an engaging high performing team. Be an influencer and help us navigate change with exceptional relationship management. Comfortable working in a dynamic and complex environment across various cross-functional teams. Understanding of the Health & Safety Act, Resource Management Act and FIDIC contracts. Be highly motivated, innovative, curious and open to new ways of doing things, so you’ll need to think outside the box. We offer you’ll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
