Ayesa is seeking a Principal Engineer with strong commercial acumen and extensive technical experience in the Middle East marine market. This role is a dynamic blend of technical and strategic responsibilities, aimed at enhancing the bid response process and driving tender success in the region. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and bid presentation. They will ensure that proposals are not only technically sound but also clearly articulated, comprehensive, and accessible to non-technical stakeholders. A key focus will be on improving proposal quality, aligning with client expectations, and increasing the success and conversion rate of tendering efforts across the Middle East. Key Responsibilities: Bid Enhancement:
- Lead the coordination and preparation of bid responses, working closely with subject matter experts and technical leads to produce clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
- Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language for non-technical readers through research and staff interviews.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to refine the bid response process, improving clarity, presentation, and alignment with client requirements.
- Ensure high-quality bid documentation, maintaining adherence to best practices and providing strategic insights to improve tender success rates.
- Independently respond to routine information requests, coordinating with internal teams and external clients to enhance proposal quality and improve alignment between technical content and commercial objectives.
- Lead the design and development of coastal and offshore infrastructure, including ports, breakwaters, marinas, sea defenses, and similar projects.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure projects meet industry standards, comply with local regulations, and integrate sustainability and environmental considerations.
- Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies for marine projects, supporting the delivery of innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Work closely with commercial and business development teams to align technical proposals with market demands and client expectations.
- Contribute to kick-off meetings, providing technical teams with clear, concise project scope summaries.
- Assist in identifying and positioning proposal team members to optimize technical scoring and improve bid competitiveness.
- Support senior management in shaping strategic approaches to business opportunities and market positioning.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients during tendering and project execution phases, ensuring clear and consistent communication of technical details.
- Present technical proposals, designs, and solutions in a clear, accessible manner to clients and stakeholders.
- Take an active role in both the maintenance of the bid content library and the pursuit of new business development opportunities.
