Position: CSA Bid Manager Location: Damastown Office, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15 Company Description We are a leading engineering services company with a proven track record of high quality, customer focused project delivery for over 130 years. The successful candidate would be reporting to the Group Estimation Manager and would mainly be supporting large scale Data Centre projects in Ireland and across Europe. Responsibilities: Obtain and review pricing/quotes from vendors, sub-contractors & suppliers. Review tender documentation to develop scope gaps between quotations Quantification of scope identified on tender drawing, plus analysis of schedules and specifications for inclusion in BoQ's/Summary of Tender Review and understand the bid strategy and contribute to developing this with the final goal of returning a comprehensive, complete, accurate & competitive bid, within the time constraints available Assist in compiling the Technical Submission of inclusions, exclusions, clarifications and program of works Assist with compiling complete bids in line with customer requirements (including direct clients, consultants, PQS, Main Contractors), in line with the tender deliverables & instructions to tenders. Agree estimating approach & strategy with the Group Estimating Manager/Director in areas such as value propositions, methodologies, delivery approaches etc. Write effective, concise and complete content while working towards delivering an overall cohesive tender return, with all disciplines Collaborate with the individual Mechanical, Electrical, CSA Estimating Managers & estimating departments to develop accurate, high-quality information from all stakeholders in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid within the tender deadlines Attention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documents and distribute this information to all involved Manage standalone bids (RFT'S/PQQ's etc) of varying scales as required from start to finish, which will require excellent managerial skills while working with multiple disciplines (Mech/Elec/Sprinkler/CSA) Liaise with the Marketing team on RFT's / PQQ's to ensure all available documentation is up to date & accurate. Design compelling visual content in line with Jones brand guidelines with graphics experience A thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve our estimating approaches & strategies Scheduling meetings and managing the interaction between numerous individuals & department's Co-ordinating team communications across multiple disciplines After the successful bid at project handover, meet with the Construction Team to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes and offer aspects for the successful transition of the project Use CostX estimation software for 2D and 5D applications. Mentoring & supporting junior staff Requirements 3rd level qualification in CSA or Quantity Surveying Ideally will possess 5+ years' experience in the CSA engineering industry Experience with the Microsoft Suite, especially Power Point & Excel, plus Cost X Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail plus commercial awareness The ability to multi-task and manage many priorities Excellent communicator/strong interpersonal skills/communicates with impact Excellent record keeper and administration skills Solves problems analytically and acts decisively Benefits We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
