Course Coordinator JOBTITLE/ POSISTION : Associate Prof./ Assistant Professor REPORTING TO : Director, CDOE Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) Prefer candidates from Bangalore JOB PURPOSE: The Course Coordinator shall coordinate the Course development, delivery / review and Assessment of learners enrolled to Online Programmes to be offered by Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bangalore. Overall Business: Engagement, retention and assessment of learners until they successfully complete Programmes. WORK RELATIONS: Internal Interface – Director, Deputy Director, Asst Director, Programme Coordinators, Course Coordinators, Course Mentors, Admission office and Examination team External Interface – Students, Content Authors, Industry Experts and Subject Matter Experts Reporting – Programme Coordinator CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Support the Programme Coordinate in the development of E-content to meet online delivery
- Create and Review e-Content, AV Content, Presentation materials used for online delivery and suggest improvements to meet Online delivery guidelines
- Support the Programme Coordinate in scheduling / managing the Academic calendar to engage learners using Discussion forums
- Conduct / review ongoing engagement of online counselling / Webinar / live lectures and suggest measures to increase learner participation in online engagement activities.
- Contribute to case studies / research / Project guidance and carry out periodic review to meet quality standards for online delivery
- Periodic conduct of Plagiarism check for all e content components and to adhere measures to ensure quality in delivery
- Timely completion of activities pertaining to Setting up of assignment questions, MCQ for continuous evaluation & University examination question papers.
- Monitor Project guidance related activities and suggest measure to complete timely submission of Project thesis and viva voce,
- Carry out monthly review of delivery and assessment related activities as per timelines drawn in Academic calendar
- Carry out Academic Administrative functions for smoot functions of Online delivery Programmes
- Live Classes during Weekend (minimum 1 Session per week per Course)
- Handling queries on discussion forum (2 Synchronous sessions in a week per Course)
- Preparation of Question papers for Internal Assessments and Term End Exams
- Evaluation of Internal Assessment Scripts
- Any other subject related activities assigned by Director of CDOE
- Ph.D. in respective subject area with minimum 5 years of Teaching experience in the University/ College.
- Academic Administrative experience of minimum 3 years University / college as Course coordinator
- NET/SLET qualified
- Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills. A passion for teaching and engaging with students.
- A good record of attending conferences and academic events. Excellent research, writing, and
- Candidate from online teaching is preferred
- Person should have working knowledge of MOOCS / SWAYAM / Other Learning management
- Online Programme delivery experience preferred,
- Must have hands on experience using the online teaching tools like – MS team, Zoom etc.
- Publication of research Papers , Authoring / co- Authoring of Books would be advantageous.
