Whilst on a project you will be expected to feed into design decisions, help promote best working practices, carry out code reviews, take part in sprint ceremonies and be part of meetings.ResponsibilitiesDeliver high quality software through the agile process.Assisting with writing bids.Communicate with non-technical stakeholders, and be able to explain technical issues to them.Be part of the architectural design of projects.Be a point of knowledge for less experienced developers.Participate in community events such as Hackathons.Skills & ExperienceEssential:Extensive experience with at least one of the languages in our tech stack:JavaSpringbootNode.JSTypeScript /JavaScriptPythonExtensive experience of software testing best practices (TDD, BDD)Extensive experience of using version control (Git, Github)Experience with common software architectures (OOP, MVC) and database solutionsExperience with principles of continuous integration and deploymentFamiliarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Openness to new technologies and willingness to keep learningGood communication and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel as requiredDesirable:Experience with more than one of the languages in our technology stackExperience in agile ways of working and the associated toolsExperience with web accessibility requirements and associated toolingAdditionalThis role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK.
