• Lead the migration of databases from on-premises environments (MSSQL and PostgreSQL) to AWS services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, or Amazon Redshift.
• Develop and execute migration strategies and plans, including data transformation and validation.
• Perform thorough testing to ensure data integrity and application performance post-migration.

• Modernize existing database architectures to leverage cloud-native features and services.
• Optimize database performance and scalability in the AWS environment.
• Implement automated backup, recovery, and high-availability solutions using AWS services.

• Design and develop scalable and efficient database schemas and objects.
• Create and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, Indexes and functions.
• Collaborate with application developers to integrate database solutions with application.
• Provide technical support for database-related issues and perform troubleshooting as needed.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.

• Document migration processes, database designs, and best practices.
• Prepare and present reports on project status, performance metrics, and recommendations.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience with MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases, including migration and modernization projects.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services related to databases (e.g., RDS, Aurora, Redshift).
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL (for MSSQL), and PL/pgSQL (for PostgreSQL).
• Experience with database migration tools and techniques (e.g., AWS Database Migration Service).
• Understanding of database design principles, normalization, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Database – Specialty, or similar certifications are a plus..
