About the Role
You will be empowered to spearhead the creation of a next-generation data consumption model for our Research Data Platform. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure data delivery is consistent, reusable and drives measurable revenue streams. Your work will directly contribute to the Academic Evaluation Framework (AEF) and equip researchers with unparalleled data analysis capabilities.
Responsibilities
Developing and creating a next generation data consumption model for Elsevier's Research Data Platform (RDP). Possessing a deep understanding of data APIs, data governance frameworks and data security best practices.
Leveraging deep technical expertise and driving measurable revenue streams.
Ensuring methodologies are consistent and transferable across a wide variety of datasets. Defining, measuring and optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs) for data product success.
Developing and executing a comprehensive product roadmap to migrate Knowledge Formation teams and solutions seamlessly to the new RDP-based consumption model.
Fostering a culture of consistent, data-driven analysis that aligns perfectly with the AEF's goals.
Establishing and enforcing rigorous data quality standards for research indicators within the RDP.
Ensuring the new model meets user and business objectives through effective collaboration with internal stakeholders (Knowledge Formation teams and Engineering leads).
Developing data products and metrics that not only enhance user value but also contribute to revenue-generation strategies.
Requirements
Demonstrate experience in product management, ideally within the data or information services industry.
Possess a track record of delivering innovative and successful data products.
Have proven leadership skills, capable to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
Be experienced in developing data products with an eye towards user value and revenue generation strategies.
Possess excellent analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools. Have deep knowledge of data ingestion, transformation and access methodologies.
Have exceptional leadership and communication capabilities to foster collaboration across diverse teams within Elsevier.
Enjoy partnering with various teams to identify and integrate existing metrics development efforts, ensuring seamless integration.
Enjoy working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with user needs, broader objectives, and the consistent application of metrics across datasets.
