Taurus Contractors ( offers a broad range of recruitment and staffing services, which include expatriate and local specialists, engineers and technical personnel on contract and permanent hire. Our focus industries are oil, gas, energy, infrastructure, water, defence, manufacturing, mining, metro, railway, power and chemicals sectors across the country.

Job Summary

  • The job requires a project management qualification, which is highly desirable.
  • A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is needed.
  • The candidate should possess a Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 3 to 1 (Motor Ship) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a shipyard is essential, including as head of any P&O section.
  • The candidate should have at least 3-4 years of managerial experience as head of a P&O department.
  • A total of 10 years of relevant working experience in the Marine industry is needed.
  • The candidate should have extensive knowledge in ship engines and various types of machining tools.
  • The candidate should have experience in ship repair, conversion, new building, offshore, and onshore industry.
