Senior Wet Utilities Design Engineer

Doha, Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Wet Utilities Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will review the detailed designs and construction drawings together with Tender and Contract documents.

What You'll Be Doing:

Familiar with load demand calculations for large and small private developments and mixed-use developments.

Perform design/analysis calculations related to wet utilities such as Treated Sewage Effluent, potable water, Foul Sewer, stormwater networks using PWA and Kahramaa guidelines.

Review Tender drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.

Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and Junior Engineers working on the same project.

Extract engineering information from CAD drawings.

Prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.

Frequently interface with other Engineering disciplines and other departments.

Review supplier drawing submittals and provide comments.

Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable institution.

Minimum 12 years of infrastructure engineering design, particularly water and wastewater networks.

5 years of experience in Qatar/GCC region.

Demonstrated previous PMCM experience.

Proven ability to perform technical roles.

Conversant with Potable Water & Fire Fighting / Treated Sewage Effluent / Foul Sewer/ Storm Water regulations such as Kahramaa, Public Works Authority, MME, QCDD, and other relevant authorities in Qatar.

Thorough knowledge of local codes, industry practices/regulations, and standards including Authorities guidelines and Qatar national standards.

Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project.

Good spoken and written English is essential. Ability to work well within a project team of mixed nationalities.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Advanced presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in design and review of network models using SewerGems, WaterGems, Infoworks ICM, and similar hydraulic design software.
