Yango, a tech company transforming global innovations into local services, is seeking a Legal Counsel in Pakistan. Fluent English and 5+ years of legal experience in commercial services and international expansion required.

You will be responsible for:

Partnering closely with the rest of the organization and taking responsibility for the structuring of new legal schemes and drafting a variety of commercial agreements and documents relating to Yango's business, and negotiating them with external partners and financial institutions.

Advising and counseling the rest of the organization on service-related legal matters associated with their commercial operations.

Identifying legal issues, providing analysis of legal risks, and creating and implementing solutions structured to achieve business objectives efficiently.

Advising the rest of the organization on other issues (marketing and others).

Managing requests, drafting bills, and supporting GR-related projects with state/law-enforcement organizations.

Representing the company for government authorities, courts, and arbitration institutions.

Retaining and managing outside legal counsel, as needed, to ensure cost-effective representation.

You might be a fit if you have:

A law degree.

5+ years of PQE in legal support of commercial online services (preferably in transportation, delivery, or related industries) and international expansion.

Experience in providing strategic guidance to a business, project management, and handling complex legal issues.

Excellent command of English and Urdu, both written and spoken, including professional (legal and business language) (knowledge of French is a plus).

Experience in negotiating, drafting, and closing complex commercial transactions and providing quick, concise, and practical legal advice.

The skills to adapt to a fast-paced and pressurized environment with an ability to act decisively.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and excellent interpersonal skills, including as a team player able to provide support to others when needed.

A punctual approach to your work and the ability to meet deadlines.

Readiness to work independently and responsibly.

Readiness for occasional domestic and international travel.

LLM degree (preferred).

Experience working with public authorities (negotiations, filings, other interactions) (preferred).

A background in an international company with different offices (preferred).
