Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Urgent requirement Accounts Payable Specialist to join a our globally recognised client on a temporary 11 month contract based in Cork The successful candidate will become a member of their accounts payable team, where they will be involved with the global interactions of vendors and suppliers alike. This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements. Key Responsibilities Processing all vendor invoices on SAP and adhering to month end reporting deadlines. Payment of vendor invoices in a timely manner. Management of vendor accounts including reconciliations and handling of enquiries. Processing and management of employee expenses. Processing of bank reconciliations. Supporting month-end end activities such as accruals and prepayments. Supporting and participating in Finance process improvements projects. Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities that will contribute to the more efficient management of the Finance process. Working with the Accounts Payable Manager to strengthen the controls framework, ensuring compliance and minimising risks. Liaising with suppliers and contractors as required to manage the vendor relationships in an effective manner and to enhance the reputation of the business with these stakeholders. Preparation and filing of Indirect tax returns in multiple countries (VAT, VIES, Intrastat) liaising with Tax Department Support audit-related activities as required. Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager. Skills Required 2+ years previous expeirence in a high volume, fast past Accounts Payable role is essential. Excellent knowledge of MS Office package especially Excel necessary SAP experience is a distinct advantage. Proven capabilities in performing the P2P process from end to end Business related qualification desirable.
