INSPECTOR: PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION - JHB NORTH JHB North, Johannesburg - Gauteng INSPECTOR: PERSONNEL CERTIFICATION Johannesburg North Salary - Market Related Outline Aviation Security/Training and Personnel Certification Overview: To regulate, monitor and enforce security standards and ensure compliance with Part 110. To promote aviation safety and security culture. Education: Minimum- National Diploma or NQF Level 6 qualification. K9 Explosive Training Certificate/ Assessor Certificate/ Moderator Certificate/ Basic AVSEC Certificate Ideal- Aviation Security Diploma. DH-level Certificate. Inspectors or Auditing Certificate. Experience Required: 3 years - Aviation Training or Certification/ K9-Explosives Detection experience Main Responsibilities: Oversight activities (Part 110) (40%): Plan and execute oversight activities (inspections and audits) of screening organisations following laid-down procedures Conduct oversight inspections of screening organizations following safety and security oversight policy and procedures and submit comprehensive reports as per the approved Master Surveillance Plan and monthly planning Conduct inspections and audits of Screening Organisations as per the training and certification MOP Monitor the implementation of recommendations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement of operating standards by screening organisations Conduct screener examinations and skills tests to certify screeners Approvals (20%): Evaluate MOP and provide recommendations for approvals of screening organizations Administration (20%): Perform job-related administration duties Maintain aviation security screener and screening organisations database Handle internal and external correspondence on industry matters related to certification Maintain accurate records and filing of all certification documents Enforcement (10%): Inform the Executive on intent to take enforcement action Follow up requests with Legal Department Conduct Investigations and support litigation procedure Liaison and Consultation (10%): Participate in initiatives to promote the Aviation security training Act as a liaison between stakeholders Provide industry feedback Conduct workshops to assist with the development and compliance within the industry Other Special Requirements: All tasks and responsibilities as specified Drivers' license. Required to travel for business purposes. Required to work after hours on occasion. Required to hold a Security Clearance appropriate to the requirements of the position.
