Position Job Title: General Manager
We are seeking a General Manager to strengthen our management team and continue operating at our high standards. The General Manager will need to be a born leader with experience in overseeing business operations, human resources, finance, and communications. The ideal candidate will be an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibility and collaborate across various departments. This role will involve handling high-level, day-to-day operations and guiding the general strategy to improve overall business functions in Early Years and School Aged services. The General Manager will oversee 14 services nationwide (Dublin, Louth, Kildare, and Limerick) and liaise with the CEO, FC, Area Managers, Managers, and the full team to ensure cohesive and efficient organizational function.
Job Description:
Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity.
Report succinctly to senior management.
Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes and overseeing employees.
Delegate responsibilities to employees and enforce policies, procedures, best practices, standards, and training programs in line with regulations and developments within the Early Years and School Aged Childcare Sector.
Communicate with governing bodies (Tusla, Department of Children, Pobal, Better Start, etc.).
Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved.
Establish a highly motivational work environment.
Implement innovative changes.
Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality.
Seek opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge and skills.
Assign weekly performance goals and ensure completion.
Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve high standards of care, education, and quality.
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished.
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocations.
Oversee and liaise with all departments.
Travel nationwide.
Requirements:
Proven success in a senior managerial role for over eight years.
Minimum Level 7 in Early Childhood Education and Care and Train the Trainer Qualification.
Full driving license.
Experience in conducting performance evaluations.
Knowledge of human resource processes.
Strong decision-making ability.
Knowledge of Early Years and School Aged Regulations.
Knowledge of Core Funding, National Programmes, and Funding.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
Proven track record of compliance with Tusla, Pobal, and EHO.
Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans.
Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.
Excellent IT skills.
Knowledge of Child Protection.
