We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and glad you want to be part of a team of talented individuals who together are changing the way the world communicates.Requisition ID: 73972We are looking for a Product Engineering Co-Op to join the team in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) for a 12-month period starting in January, 2025!About the Business UnitProduct and Test Engineering is part of Skyworks' Technology and Manufacturing Group, which is responsible for advanced technology development, central engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, sourcing, and supply chain functions.Position SummaryThe Product and Test Engineering team, located in Ottawa, has a challenging opportunity for a student available for a 12-month work term starting in January, 2025. As a Product Engineering Co-Op student you will be responsible for developing test solutions, sampling products during the development phase, and transitioning products from development to high volume mass production. Skyworks' Ottawa PETE group is mostly responsible for Wifi 802.11 RFICs, Modules and WLCSP products. You will be working closely with team members and may work with engineers across multiple functional teams as needed.Day to Day ResponsibilitiesDeveloping automation scripts in Visual Basic, Python, Java and LabviewManual testing of product Evaluation Boards using bench equipmentAssisting with general lab dutiesQualificationsPursuing a Bachelor of Science (BS), Computer Science (BS), or related degree for the duration of the Co-OpEnrolled in a college level Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician program or relevant programFundamental understanding of programming in Visual Basic, Python, Java and LabviewEnjoys working in a fast paced environmentPreferred Skills Set:Hands-on experience testing of product in a lab environment.Higher level computer programming skills such as C/C++, Object Oriented Programming and understanding of Software Architecture.Experience in data analysis of large data sets.Knowledge of Wifi and Bluetooth product specifications.Skyworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
