Job Description Ceylon Cars PTY Limited is currently looking for Import Manager to join our team in Auckland. The position is responsible for the planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the operations of importing. This role will suit an ambitious all-rounder who can focus on multiple tasks. You will need to be able to work from Monday to Sunday from 9AM to 6PM with Minimum of 30 hours and maximum can reach to 40 hours. Job Duties: · Responsible with overseas supplier / distributors for product orders. · Should have good negotiating skills ensuring that the company is getting the best price for their goods · Maintain effective communication and relationship with overseas agents. · Responsible for managing the paperwork, scheduling shipments, and ensuring that all laws and regulations are followed. · Manage and maintain accurate records, including shipment files, tracking information, and compliance documentation. · Ensure that payment terms are adhered to and that the goods arrive safely and on time · Stay updated on global trade restrictions, service disruptions and market opportunities · Assist in resolving any shipment-related discrepancies, such as delays, damages, or customs issues. · Responsible for overseeing the display and sale of merchandise and preparation of product information for customer service staff and customers · Responsible for monitoring business performance and preparing estimates, financial statements and reports of operations · Coordinate with the team · Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: · Should have minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or minimum Level 7 bachelor’s degree qualification or higher. · Should have strong negotiation skills · You will have a proactive approach to work, a high level of attention to detail. · Excellent written and spoken communication skills. · Proficient in Excel and other computer skills · Self-starter with decision-making capabilities and strong presentation skills · Applicant must have a clean background with no criminal record · Strict zero tolerance for alcohol and drug use in the workplace.
