We are seeking a highly skilled Restoration Ecologist to join our team, responsible for leading and executing restoration projects aimed at restoring degraded or damaged ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ecological principles, conservation practices, and stakeholder engagement techniques. Key Responsibilities: The Restoration Ecologist will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing restoration plans in accordance with international best practices and local regulations.
Conducting site assessments, habitat assessments, and ecological risk assessments to identify restoration needs.
Leading and managing restoration projects from planning through implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Collaborating with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and NGOs, to ensure project success.
Analyzing data and monitoring results to inform restoration decisions and track project progress.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, permits, and agreements.
Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Master’s degree in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in restoration ecology, conservation biology, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Familiarity with international best practices and local regulations in restoration ecology.
