Job Overview The Senior Logistics & Trade Comp Tech completes various Logistics & Trade Compliance assignments as needed and can complete work with limited supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Logistics & Trade Compliance experience. They have developed proficiency in various analytical processes or procedures for assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in atypical or infrequently occurring situations based on existing precedents or procedures. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute technically to the process for quotation and hire of freight forwarders, customs brokers, and national shipping companies.
  • Develop management reports for internal and service provider KPIs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies of international logistics operations and foreign trade.
  • Contribute to suggestions for actions to improve processes.
  • Ensure the issuance of the information and documents necessary to submit service providers to the process of qualification in the Compliance.
  • Analyze and report the risks involved in national and international logistics activities.
  • Manage contracts with service providers (customs brokers, freight forwarders, and national shipping companies).
  • Conduct the demands related to the foreign trade system together with the interface areas.
  • Coordinate the issuance and consolidation of the regular reports requested by the interface areas.
  • Contribute to the standardization of internal controls of import, export, and national movement of materials.
  • Monitor changes in logistics legislation, disclose them internally, and adjust procedures.
  • Conduct the notification process to local authorities to facilitate importing and storing goods or equipment.
  • Operate the import, export, and national movement of parts and equipment required, from the collection to delivery at the destination in different customs regimes.
  • Fill and update the controls and systems used in the logistics area.
  • Keep in contact with service providers (customs brokers, freight forwarders, and national cargo companies), suppliers, and internal interface areas to follow up on the steps of import, export, and national movement of parts and equipment.
  • Perform the costing of import and export processes and national movement of parts and equipment.
  • Provide operational support in matters related to subpoena control, revalidation of power of attorney, bank authorizations, issue, and consolidation of reports.
  • Assist with the registration and qualification process of logistic service providers as warranted.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Associate’s Degree/Foundation (or equivalent) in relevant discipline or HSD/GED/IGCSE or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • 1-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to manage their workload effectively.
  • Ability to interact with suppliers and clients.
  • Positive attitude and a self-starter.
  • Strong risk management capabilities.
  • Ability to negotiate diverse matters with internal and external clients or suppliers.
