Sports Imaging is a vibrant and exciting subspecialty in musculoskeletal radiology which involves diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries in amateur and professional athletes. The Sports Radiologist works closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and physiotherapists to make the appropriate diagnosis, assess the extent, and help to determine the prognosis of a sports-related injury, which is crucial in guiding management. Applicants will get familiar with the role of each imaging modality in the diagnosis and prognosis of a sports injury, with biomechanics, pathophysiology, and treatment options for the patients. Applicants will gain experience in performing image-guided injections in athletes.Role Description:

Aspetar's Sports Imaging Department is a state-of-the-art facility providing a unique opportunity for a Clinical Specialist Fellow in Sports Imaging to gain further clinical experience. The fellow will develop a comprehensive range of sports imaging skills, only possible through being exposed to a variety of athletes from different sporting codes, disciplines, ages, levels of participation, gender, and ethnicity.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:

Working in a multidisciplinary and unique multicultural environment, the Clinical Specialist Fellowship Program includes educational and research opportunities as well as ongoing clinical mentorship to support well-rounded radiologists and future leaders in the field of Sports Imaging.Education and Experience:

Applicants must be registered specialists who completed a radiology residency training or are board-certified radiology specialists and eligible to be licensed to practice radiology in Qatar.#J-18808-Ljbffr
