With a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, residential, and educational sectors Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Health and Safety Manager to join for a prestigious new build educational project in South Dublin. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site. Key Responsibilities: Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies on the construction site. Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop risk management strategies. Safety Inspections: Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Training & Induction: Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for site personnel, including induction training for new workers. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including incident reports, inspection records, and training logs. Safety Audits: Conduct periodic safety audits and prepare comprehensive audit reports. Advisory Role: Provide expert advice and guidance to site management and workers on health and safety matters. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure readiness. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and other stakeholders regarding health and safety issues. Requirements: Education: Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with experience on large-scale projects. Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and regulations. Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and strong observational skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence positive safety behaviours. Certifications: Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates.
