ResponsibilitiesAs a part of a team, reporting to the Assistant Dean, Graduate program, the Academic Program Coordinator will provide administrative support and smooth functioning of the Graduate Program at SONAM. Moreover, you will be responsible to:
serve as a primary point of contact and provide information regarding the Graduate Programme
ensure the smooth operation of the Graduate Programme, manage logistics, and coordinate with various departments to meet program requirements
assist in overall program functions, including student affairs and course offerings
coordinate with students, faculty members, and relevant departments involved in Graduate Programme activities
plan, organize, manage, and lead the functions of the academic programs
support Assistant Deans in strategizing and achieving goals to enhance the delivery of world-class and internationally validated undergraduate and graduate programs
coordinate with the Registrar's Office for student-related processes including induction, admissions, progression, and graduation
manage Thesis Defense process, collaborating with external and internal examiners, admin team, neutral chairs, MScN candidates, and research office for thesis-related work
support SONAM's Graduate Programme office by scheduling meetings, sending calendar invites, taking meeting minutes, and ensuring follow-up on action items
support effective and efficient examination processes following established practices and protocols
assist potential and current students regarding all aspects of the graduate program, including admissions, policies, administrative procedures, degree requirements, finances, and career opportunities
provide comprehensive administrative support for faculty, including managing logistics for academic events and facilitating communication with speakers and academics
fulfill additional assignments from the Dean and assistant deans to aid academic activities and events
manage and update a confidential database of student and alumni records, while also promoting efficiency in departmental administrative systems.
RequirementsYou should have:
bachelor's degree, Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within Higher Education
excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, integrating ethical and legal understanding
proficiency in organizational and planning skills, capable of identifying and pre-empting potential issues in educational program management
proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
ability to collaborate with colleagues, work as a team player, and provide support to multiple stakeholders.
