We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Expert specializing in VMware Cloud Operations. If you have a deep understanding of network virtualization with NSX-T, coupled with expertise in firewall technologies (including Fortigate, Palo Alto), and are passionate about securing VMware cloud environments, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Network Virtualization and NSX-T:
Design, implement, and maintain network virtualization solutions with a focus on VMware NSX-T.
Ensure efficient and secure communication within the VMware cloud infrastructure.
Firewall Management:
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, including Fortigate and other leading firewall technologies, to enforce security policies in the VMware cloud environment.
Collaborate with security teams to implement and improve firewall rules and access controls.
Security Architecture:
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall security architecture for VMware cloud operations.
Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Actively participate in incident response activities, investigating and mitigating security incidents in the VMware environment.
Provide expertise in analyzing and resolving network security issues.
Network Protocols:
Deep understanding and configuration of various network protocols, ensuring optimal performance and security in the VMware environment.
Implement and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, security policies, incident response procedures, and protocols.
Develop and update documentation to reflect changes in the VMware cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators, DevOps engineers, and application developers, to ensure a secure and efficient VMware cloud environment.
Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues regarding network, security, and protocol matters.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Network and Security Expert in VMware cloud environments.
In-depth knowledge of network virtualization, specifically VMware NSX-T.
Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, including Fortigate, and familiarity with other leading firewall technologies.
Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards.
Experience with various network protocols and routing/switching technologies.
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
VMware certifications (VCP-NV, VCIX-NV, or equivalent).
Fortinet certifications (NSE 4, NSE 5, or equivalent), and certifications from other firewall vendors.
Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
