Linux Systems Administrator

Codethink is looking to hire a systems administrator to join its Manchester-based Operations team. The Operations Team provide the infrastructure & support which keep our development projects running. Responsibilities would include:
- Ongoing maintenance of our current infrastructure
- Designing and implementing new systems and deployments to cope with our business’s growth
- Contribute to leading our infrastructure endeavours, on both in company and client facing projects
- Debugging really weird system interaction issues
- Providing desktop Linux & Mac technical support
- Enterprise Networking Knowledge (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, packet filtering, routing, enterprise wireless networks)
- Strong knowledge and experience of Unix-like (GNU/Linux preferred) systems administration
- Provisioning or management of private cloud / Infrastructure-as-a-Service would be an advantage
- Support for GNU/Linux and Mac desktop environments
- Configuration management and deployment. Good Ansible skills would be an advantage
- Experience in 1 or more programming/scripting languages (shell/python preferred) would be an advantage
- Engaging with upstream communities to solve problems, especially via IRC
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
- Knowledge of CI/CD Systems
- Knowledge of git or similar source control systems
