The Senior Engineer Software Safety role involves leading the architecture, design, implementation, and delivery of safety mechanisms and embedded components for vehicles. The candidate will solve complex system safety problems with elegant solutions, develop/document software in C and C++, and play a significant role in mentoring and guiding the team on software and system safety best practices. This role reports to the Director Embedded & Software Safety and supports the creation of reliable safety-critical software that monitors and controls the vehicle. The candidate is expected to contribute generally to the growth and success of the Company, fostering a vibrant culture focused on the responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.Company OverviewOutrider is a private software company established in 2018, focused on automating distribution yards through electric self-driving trucks to enhance safety and efficiency.
