Position Title: Head of Project Delivery CONVO is seeking a seasoned Head of Project Delivery to lead and manage our project delivery teams, ensuring the successful implementation and deployment of our technology solutions. The selected candidate will join our Services Delivery Organization to lead a range of enterprise software implementations and projects across CPG customer base. As a Head of Delivery, you will coordinate all aspects ensuring successful delivery, customer success and profitable engagements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Champion and promote innovative and agile methodologies to drive state-of-the-art technology solutions for Sales Transformation and other key projects. Provide strategic direction for project delivery and oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle. Plan, implement and optimally deliver sophisticated customer projects at the highest level of quality.
  • Lead globally distributed and matrixed teams & take end-to-end ownership of any critical issues.
  • Take ownership of the management of projects financials (financial forecasts, P&L, Invoicing).
  • Client Engagement: Actively engage with clients to understand and interpret their needs. Lead functional workshops, define solution blueprints, and support the implementation and deployment phases. Ensure that solutions meet client requirements and align with company standards.
  • Build strong and positive customer relationships and handle the expectations of customers throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Project Management: Lead and organize project activities, ensuring efficient task prioritization, risk management, and accurate effort estimation. Oversee project mobilization, process design, system configuration, testing, integration, data migration, deployment, and business adoption. Responsible for ensuring the quality of Work Items content, e.g. descriptive definition, acceptance criteria, priority.
  • Ensure that the project team and activities follow the set methodology and gating processes: Perform scrum master activities as part of the Agile ways of working, e.g., conduct retrospectives, backlog refinement, daily stand ups.
  • Provide regular updates to internal reporting systems and executive project reporting.
  • Ensure project resources are effectively utilized and their time is supervised and approved in line with the budget.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Design and document high-quality, scalable, and secure end-to-end solutions. Conduct gap analysis to address discrepancies between project requirements and solutions. Ensure that technical solutions are fit for purpose and meet customer needs. Build and maintain detailed project plans (adjusting under change control) that supports the agreed project scope/results to assure a high quality and successful outcome.
  • Documentation and Handover: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional blueprints, solution configuration documents, and user stories. Manage the transition of projects to the Application Maintenance & Support teams, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are provided.
  • With input from the team, prepare project SOWs and take through the approval process.
  • Partner with Sales and Pre-Sales on new opportunities to define scope, pricing and P&L.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including business analysts, solution architects, and software engineers. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Technical Governance: Provide technical governance and assurance throughout the project lifecycle. Define and challenge technical requirements to ensure alignment with business needs and mitigate risks.
  • Conduct governance reviews with the leadership team and with the customers.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams to gather feedback, advise on product development, and address client needs. Support the development of new product features and enhancements.
  • Experience in defining, managing, and overseeing all processes related to design and implement.
  • Revenue Growth Management , Trade Promotion Management, and Sales Force Automation solutions for global FMCG companies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, business analysis, and implementing large-scale Enterprise Software Solutions.
  • Experience of delivering projects in a commercial environment is strongly preferred (either working for a software vendor or a Systems integrator).
  • Deep understanding of project management principles, methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record in leading a project team with a matrix model, manage a customer and work with internal stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of technologies and software integration domains.
  • Results oriented and a high level of resilience especially in an environment of change.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and guiding team members.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of SaaS, cloud technologies, and distributed systems.
  • Experience in Revenue Growth Management Solutions built for CPGs/FMCGs including , processes such as Trade Promotion Management, Sales Force Automation, or Retail Execution.
  • Agile Scrum certification advisable.
  • PMP/Prince 2 qualified is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
