Job details

Duties and Responsibilities:Provide personalized coordinated care, and support for patients and families.Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.Inspect and install medical and related technical equipment.Carry out daily rounds of various departments to check the status of biomedical equipment on site as a group member.Repair & maintenance of biomedical equipment.Follow policies & procedures set by management Biomedical Unit.Safety test medical equipment and the hospital's structural environment to ensure electrical and mechanical safety.Consult with medical and scientific staff to determine whether equipment is functioning properly and take corrective action when necessary.Carry out PPM & calibration according to JCIA/CIBAHI as per scheduled plan.Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.Carry out inspections & commissioning of newly inducted biomedical equipment.Perform safety testing, preventive maintenance, and repairs on medical technology.QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of an advanced Diploma in medical equipment maintenance or Medical Electronics Technology.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:Experience in medical technology.SPECIALIZED SKILLS:Excellent knowledge of oral and written English, MS-Office.COMPETENCE:Accountable for overall operation of Biomedical Engineering Department.REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB:Proper, effective, and compassionate communication.
