Job Description (Summary)

This is a full-time role as a growth specialist at Blakskill Limited. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving aggressive sales growth and expanding the client base within the HR tech industry in the Nigerian market. You will leverage your expertise to develop and implement strategic sales plans, identify target segments, and build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a passion for business development, a deep understanding of the HR tech industry, and a proven track record in sales strategy and client relationship management. Sales & Forecast Planning:

  • Identify target segments and industries for market penetration within the HR tech space.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to expand the client base in the Nigerian market.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, providing weekly reports.
  • Generate precise sales forecasts using market trends, historical data, and pipeline analysis to support decision-making.
Relationship Building with Key Partners:
  • Identify and establish partnerships with key players in the HR industry, including HR consultants, industry associations, and recruitment agencies.
  • Leverage these partnerships to expand Blakskill's reach and unlock new sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure cohesive sales and customer engagement strategies.
  • Provide regular market feedback to inform product development and marketing efforts.
Client Retention & Relationship Management
  • Lead negotiations and ensure a seamless transition of prospects through the sales pipeline to paying clients.
  • Sustain high client retention rates through excellent relationship management and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Address client concerns promptly to ensure long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
Team Performance Management
  • Monitor and track team performance against revenue targets and other key metrics.
  • Provide quality leadership and foster team-building to drive performance excellence.
  • Ensure active team engagement through regular sales calls, meetings, and presentations.
Post-Sales Support & Up-Selling
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of HR tech solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling additional products or services to increase revenue.
Reporting and Analysis
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities and progress.
  • Analyze data to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, specifically in the HR tech industry.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
