Job Purpose:

Assist the Project team in awareness of and compliance with contract obligations and requirements (signed with Client), anticipate risks, and help Project Managers/Directors in preparation of claims and contractual correspondences.

Principal Accountabilities:

Review various contractual documents as directed by and under the supervision of the Director, Commercial Contracts ("DCC").

Assist the Contracts Director in the negotiation of variations with the Clients' agents.

Review Variation Orders (VOs) received from Clients, highlight any risk in the terms of VOs, and propose to the DCC any required amendments to be submitted to the Client.

Review VOs issued by the Commercial team to the Subcontractors for final validation by the DCC.

Assist Commercial teams at Sites in dealing with major subcontract agreements and vendors' claims.

Assist in preparation of correspondences to Client(s) prepared by Sites, including claim notices to be issued pursuant to contract provisions; for final validation by the DCC.

Organize and monitor the tracking logs issued by the Site teams and ensure dispatching to all concerned.

Organize and monitor the project risk register prepared by the Project Management team.

Assist the DCC in preparing contracts management procedures, workflow, and practices for improvement of business processes, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.

Assist the DCC in monitoring projects' performance with respect to the compliance with Contractor's rights and obligations.

Coordinate and attend technical/contracts meetings with Client's agents and internal Site teams as directed by and under the supervision of DCC.

Advise on projects handover and closeout and assist PMs/PDs in the process of obtaining Taking Over Performance Certificates.

Required Academic Qualification

Specification

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any Construction field)

Years of Experience

Total 15 years minimum (with at least 7 years as Contracts Administrator/Manager)

Skills and Competencies

TECHNICAL & PROFESSIONAL

Technical and construction experience at sites with focus on infrastructure.

Analytic approach, attention to details, and easy understanding of cases.

Claims experience including formal correspondences.

Good English language (speaking and writing).

Familiar with legal terminologies.

PERSONALITY & BEHAVIOURAL

Teamwork and collaboration spirit.

Face-to-face communication preference over written correspondences.

Problem-solving skill.

Compliance with superior guidelines.

Commitment to deadlines.

COMPUTER & SOFTWARE

MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
