Lead Instrumentation and Control EngineerCH2M HILL Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer - Abu Dhabi, UAEJob Purpose:To oversee, manage, review and monitor all I&C related work performed as part of the Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP). The bulk of the work will be performed by FEED and EPC Contractors. Role will also include leading other I&C Engineers and Designers as may be needed in performance of the work. Long-term to integrate into the E&C I&C department as a senior engineer involved in FEEDs, designs, and PMC type projects.Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Lead an independent team of Engineers and Designers within discipline as necessary to perform the work.Ensure effective communications and co-ordinations between all I&C team members and all other disciplines, to ensure mutual awareness of requirements and sharing of information and common resources.Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of the project, forecast trends and anticipate potential problems and difficulties meeting milestones or budget within the I&C discipline, coordinate with project team including all disciplines to resolve problems.Implement and maintain productivity targets for the I&C team members, including monitoring of overtime and budgeted man hours.Conduct routine meetings with I&C team to monitor the projects' performance and assess their performance.Prepare an estimate of required man hours along with supporting documentation for I&C activities and or any change orders.Implement staffing development plans and assign staff to specific project activities.Identify additional project staff needs and coordinate with the I&C department to resource the needs as appropriate; support and enhance the technical expertise of I&C team members to suit the project needs, perform evaluations of I&C team members.Perform and/or coordinate all technical reviews of Contractor submitted I&C deliverables. Delegate review responsibilities to subject matter experts.Job Requirements/Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics Engineering.15+ years of experience in professional I&C engineering & design, planning, checking, general management and supervisory responsibility in oil & gas or water industry.Must have worked at least 10 years as Engineer in an Oil & Gas or water related EPC or Consultancy Organization performing I&C designs.Demonstrated experience as a Lead I&C engineer; managing a project team of I&C engineers and designers.Advanced knowledge of ICS such as DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA, MCM, PLC, AMS, Alarm Management, Leak Detection System & various type of interfaces.Basic or intermediate knowledge on TSI Systems such as Telecom Backbone, FO System, CCTV, PAGA, Security Systems, Radio, PABX, Network LAN/WAN/WLAN, GPS, Voice Recording, Video Conferencing System.Advanced knowledge of industry practices, codes and standards.Work effectively with peers in a multi-disciplinary environment and should have good command of written and spoken English.Beneficial Qualifications:Arabic language skills.About The Company:As a global leader in consulting, design, design-build, operations, and program management, CH2M HILL has the human and technical resources, the international footprint, and the depth of know-how and experience to help clients achieve success in any corner of the world.At CH2M HILL, we always strive to perform above your expectations and our industry's standards.
