Role responsibilities Provide recommendations on the strategic direction and priorities for the Clinical Supplies function; execute on the strategy, and adapt as required, including market and competitor assessments. Ensure that all clinical trial projects are delivered to quality expectations in a timely manner whilst adhering to ICON or Sponsor SOPs, and in compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory standards. Demonstrate oversight through the regular reporting of metrics. Drive functional activities and closely collaborate with Finance to manage departmental budget and achieve targeted revenue and margins. Build customer relationships and interact with customers in a consultative, operational and business development capacity; ensuring close collaboration with the Business Development team to provide regular input to new business proposals and client bid defense meetings. Build and maintain an optimal global organizational structure and allocate resources to projects and initiatives including resource justifications, hiring of staff, manage performance expectations, staff development and succession planning; provide oversight to CSM Managers/Sr Managers Establish and build effective supplier relationships and proactively communicates company priorities and requirements. Liaise with Procurement and Legal departments towards sourcing appropriate vendors, negotiating pricing, structuring and implementation of Master Service Agreements (MSA) and governance over vendor adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA). Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and systems related to Clinical Supplies, collaborating with other functional groups as required Independent and proactive preparation, communication and coordination of process changes. Devise and drive process improvements with a focus on streamlining our processes and adding value to our business while meeting client needs. Manage CSM quality including resolution of clinical supplies quality issues from internally or externally driven sources; ensure Clinical Supplies is represented appropriately at client audits. Ensure corrective and preventative action is taken in a timely manner when issues occur and follow to resolution Perform additional relevant responsibilities as directed by management. What you will need to be considered: Working knowledge of regulations governing investigational products, including Good Manufacturing Practices and International Conference on Harmonization/ Good Clinical Practices guidelines Deep understanding of supply chain networks, clinical regulations and timelines. In depth experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries in a Quality, Project Management, Logistics or Supply Chain role.
